KANHA NATIONAL PARK IN MADHYA PRADESH
Among all national parks, Kanha National park is one of the biggest National Park. It is located in Madhya Pradesh. Kanha National Park is also known as a Tiger Reserve. Kanha National Park is In Balaghat and Mandla Districts of Madhya Pradesh. Earlier in 1930, the Kanha area was divided into two sanctuaries which are known as Hallon and Banjar. Hallon was spread in 250 KM Square and Banjar was spread in 300 Km square. On 1st June 1955, Kanha National Park was created. It comprises over 940 Km Square Area in two districts Balaghat and Mandla of Madhya Pradesh.
Kanha National Park is the largest national park in Central India. There is a significant population of leopards, Royal Bengal Tiger and Indian wild dog in Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh. Among all animals, one male tiger named munna is very famous. Munna is famous for his large size. He has big head and 'CAT' written on his head.
Jabalpur is the appropriate place from where you can reach to Kanha National Park. To reach to Kanha National Park from Jabalpur Taxi Service for tourists is available in Jabalpur. You can go to National park via Mandla and Nainpur from Jabalpur. There are three gates for entry in Kanha National Park. If you will come from Jabalpur then the kisli gate is the best accessed for you which stops at the village khatia. Mukki and Seari are the other two entrance gates of Kanha National park.
