Brief history of ellora caves
Ellora is known for Hindu, Jain and Buddhist temples which were built during 6th and 9th century in the rule of Rashtrakuta, Chalukya, and Kalachuri. Ellora caves site is included in world heritage site. This caves are built in the vertical face of charanandri hills. Carving work of ellora was begun in 550 AD.
